October 11 Trigger and DAQ satellite workshop
We are pleased to announce a one-day Data Acquisition and Trigger Workshop to support the needs of HEP Detector R&D program. The workshop will take place at The University of New Mexico on Wednesday, the 11th of October, 2017, immediately preceding the CPAD meeting at UNM. The workshop will consist of a full day of plenary talks and discussion sessions with follow-up discussions and a summary presentation of the workshop at the CPAD meeting.
The goal of the workshop is to bring together members of the Detector R&D community at the national labs and universities to accomplish the following:
- Identify long- and near-term future DAQ and Trigger needs, both in terms of future experiments and in terms of providing tools to support ongoing detector R&D efforts.
- Identify promising technologies and techniques to address the needs.
- Identify opportunities for collaboration between the DAQ and Trigger groups that participate in the Detector R&D program.
